Another gate where everyone, including the emperor had to alight, precede this one. So once at this gate, everybody was on foot.
Let's notice the yellow glazed tiles, symbol of the emperor, and that can be found on all pavilions. The color red meant it was a cosmic center (the emperor was considered the son of Heaven).
