Qianmen street - mandarin and empress statues

Statues at the entrance of a restaurant : a Mandarin, high ranked Chinese official, recognizable by his outfit (with a hat with tassel) offers cakes, probably to an empress recognizable by its yellow costume (only the emperors and empresses had the privilege to wear yellow clothes, as symbol of royalty. The penalty for offenders was nothing less than death...). Perhaps Cixi ?
We can also notice the plait of the Mandarin. Its wearing was established under the Manchu emperors (Qing dynasty) and cutting it was then a sign of protest.
