Kyoto - Kukurizaru (monkey of the guardian Koshin-san)

This "cluster" contains the kukurizaru, a monkey accompanying the guardian Koshin-san. It has the hands and feet bound not to succumb to its desires. To get help from Koshin-san one must entrust one's desires to the monkey kukurizaru so it will keep it and one will have a clear mind. Then if one controls one's desires Koshin will be able to grant a wish...
Note : There is a look-alike "doll" in Takayama called sarubobo. The latter was formerly given by the grandparents as an amulet for a good marriage.
