Beomeosa temple - King of Heaven, guardian of the east

The Lokapalas (or kings of Heaven) are located at the entrance of the temples which they have to guard. Each one as a cardinal point to watch (and also a season...).
We can recognize them by their attributes. Here the pagoda (and parasol) identifies the guardian of the north.
