Seoul National museum - Buddha statue

The white hair in the center of the forehead symbolizes the light of the Buddha which was to enlighten the world. His prominence on the forehead is a symbol of wisdom.
It appears here in meditation and the position of his hands, mudra, indicates that this is the historical Buddha Gautama Siddarta called Sakyamuni (honorific title).
The length of the lobe of his ears is an indication of its importance.
