Seokchon - tombs of the Baekje Kingdom

Seokchon - tombs of the Baekje Kingdom

Baekje was one of the three kingdoms of Korea with Silla in the east (with its capital Gyeongju and which realized the unification of Korea) and Goguryeo in the north.
Gaya, in the south, was annexed to Silla.
Baekje was located in southwestern Korea including Seoul until the 6th century before the city goes into the kingdom of Goguryeo.
Thus, the first capital of the kingdom at the beginning of our era would have been located at Seoul Olympic Park.
(see fortress of the Olympic stadium).
These tombs date back to the 4th or 5th century A.D.
