Bongwonsa temple - Bodhisattva Jijangbosal (Ksitigarbha in sanskrit)

This Bodhisattva, having attained enlightenment, has chosen to remain in the world to intercede on behalf of the dead and help them to avoid hell during the cycle of rebirth.
