Hwaseong fortress - Tiles of the square in front of the palace (view 1)

These tiles represent the procession of King Jeongjo going to Suwon. It comes from the book "Wonhaeng Eulmyo Jeongni Eugwae" we can see exposed in the National Museum in Seoul. Still in Seoul, it has been reproduced on tiles placed on a 192 m (210 yards) long canal, the Cheonggyecheon. Here the king walking on foot beside his horse.
