Gate of the filial piety leading to the forest of steles
At the entrance of the ancient temple of Confucius, which now houses the Forest of Steles, we can find the gate that contains the stele of filial piety, written by an emperor of the Tang Dynasty.
Filial piety or relationship between children and parents is one of the three basic social relationships of Confucianism along with relationships between sovereign and subject, and between husband and wife.
