Forest of steles - Steles

What is called the forest of steles is a set of steles bearing inscriptions in ideograms on about texts of Confucius (the 12 canonical books). Other steles describe the evolution of Chinese calligraphy, another reads Nestorian texts (see further on),... They were gathered here from the 11th century to be in a safe place.
They date back from 206 B.C. to 1911 (A.D.).
