Confucius lived in the 6th century B.C. He was contemporary of Siddarta Gautama (or historical Buddha Sakyamuni) to the origin of Buddhism and Lao Zi (although there is doubt about his existence as a person) to the origin of Taoism. The stele, dates back to 1734.
