Gadagne museum - St. Blandine
Blandine is a Saint martyred in Lyon in 177 at the amphitheater of the three Gauls under Marcus Aurelius. Given to the lions, the latter turned away, which did not discourage her torturers
who made her suffer the agony of the grill and then had a bull charge her before killing her with the sword. She endured all the pain with great courage.
Saint Blandine is patron of the city of Lyon as well as maids.
