It is a travel through nature as Ireland can offer so many. To be seen : the main lake, Lough Leane which is comprised of several islands; Ross castle; Manor of Muckross house; Panorama "Ladies' view" over the upper lake; Tore waterfall; Gap of dunloe but becareful to the road which is very narrow... It is better to choose walking and it is the opportunity to walk close to sheeps... From Killarney one can follow the "ring of Kerry" on the south of Kerry but as I didn't get much time I prefered going on with Dingle peninsula.

It is also possible to choose several other activities including : bike, horseback riding, fishing, golf...

20 km (12.5 miles) away from Killarney, near Cloonkeen, along the edge of the N22 leading to Cork, there is a statue of a rear horse. It was carved during the rebuilding of the road in the '90s.
