The park of Lake District combines great lakes although just one is called "lake" (including the largest of England : Windermere) and highlands (including the highest mountain of England : Scafell Pike 978 m or 3210 feet). And it is very extended !

To be seen first : Windermere and Keswick.

The stone houses and stone walls, without binder, are typical of the region.

Beaware of the narrow roads in Yorkshire Dales National Park ! And here there are sheeps everywhere...

With luck, we can watch folk dances.

Buttertubs (between Hawes and Thwaite) are gaping holes in the ground !...
